Love Made Me Do It

This weekend was my best friend's bridal shower and it was one of the most beautiful events I've ever been to. I'm sure you all saw from my overload of instastories (not sorry about that), but we had the best time showering our girl. The whole venue was surrounded by flowers, great food and the yummiest, prettiest cocktails. I'd been on the hunt for the perfect dress to match the occasion and as soon as I laid eyes on this little number, I knew I had to have it. I was a little concerned that it may not be as flattering because of the billowy fabric and ruffles (I'm pretty short and straight all over), but it was actually incredibly flattering and so comfortable. If you're on the shorter side, I'd recommend wearing it with the highest heels you own, to elongate your legs and ensure the high to low detail of the dress doesn't over power you. It's definitely a little out of the box in terms of the style of dress I usually wear. I tend to stick to straight, shift dresses but I'm so happy I went with this one! I paired it with an old pair of chunky, super high heels, my new favorite gold hoops and some delicate gold jewelry. I absolutely loved this look and can't wait to wear the dress again!
