Plaid Blazer

My relationship with blazers in the past has been testy, at best. I used to associate them with work conferences and stuffy corporate offices and I never thought they’d actually be fashionable. I came around to the idea eventually…the printed ones, velvet ones, blazers with statement shoulders that feel more like trendy jackets than actual blazers….But the plaid blazer has been the one I’ve traditionally stayed away from. I was always worried that while the other girls would looked cool in their blazers and tee, I’d look like a girl playing dress up in her dad’s work clothes. I decided to give the plaid trend a try anyway and I’m so glad I did. I surprisingly really loved the oversized fit. I added a cropped tee to offset the looser blazer and paired it with booties because, fall…duh. I really love the way this look came out. Just dressed up enough without looking like I’m on my way to a corporate conference room. I linked the exact one below, but also added a few other options for you guys to check out!

The exact blazer shown above from Zara is linked here. The Anine Bing blazer and Tularosa Jacqueline Jacket are almost identical to each other and very similar to mine, both at a higher price point but super cute and on trend. BB Dakota has an Ex Boyfriend Blazer that is also very similar and $100 exactly. This Constance Blazer is a great option and under $100 if you’re looking for a smaller investment. As always, Forever 21 has some great affordable options. This, this and this are my favorites and all under $40!!
