Did any of you see my insta stories from the other night about the wine explosion in my kitchen? It was a crime scene with all that red wine everywhere. Reason number 3458738945 why I shouldn't wear white on a daily basis. Thankfully I was in PJs and a black shirt when it happened. Confession: I should carry a bib around and wear it because I spill on myself ALLLL THEEE TIMEEEE. Coffee, lipstick, soup....you name it. Second confession: I am terrible at mixing patterns into my wardrobe. I'll see so many different patterns when I'm shopping and I'll think "oooh I love that!" but when it comes time to actually buy stuff...I always reach for the solid colored (and usually black) pieces. This polka dot blouse from Who What Wear was an exception because: pattern AND white. Whoa. I bought it a while back (it's from a few seasons ago) but still so good. I love the little ruffle details on the sleeves and the material is sooo soft, flowy and just thick enough that it's not completely see through. I hate when I find a white shirt I love and then I put it on and you can see right through it! I can never wear shirts like that to work...or formal events....or somewhere where my dad will be (haha). Anyway, this blouse has it all. I've also recently warmed up to the idea of polka dots too. For some reason they used to always remind me of clowns (which I HATE), or something that a toddler would wear (don't ask, I'm weird). But I've been seeing all sorts of brands doing polka dots the right way and I dig it. I will definitely be re-wearing this with light denim, shorts, skirts, etc. I have a feeling I'm going to be having a polka dot party all through spring. Definitely not mad about it.
