Transitioning into Summer

One of my favorite things about California is that most of the pieces in my closet can be worn or styled throughout the year, no matter the weather. I bought this cardigan during the fall and it was perfect for the slightly cooler temperatures at the time. Lately the weather has been pretty warm during the day, but it's still a little cloudy and the temperatures drop down a good amount in the evenings.

This cardigan has been perfect because it's light enough to wear during the day, but just warm enough to wear at night, without feeling uncomfortable at any time. Plus it adds a little bit of movement and layering to any simple outfit. I've been on the hunt for a plain black romper for the summer, but in the meantime I improvised with my favorite Brandy Melville shorts and Lush lacy black cami tucked in.

Whenever you have that "I have nothing to wear" feeling, I urge you to dig into the back of your closet and see what fall/winter pieces you can repurpose! You might just surprise yourself with what you can put together! Happy styling!
