I think if you were to ask any bride, they would tell you that the hardest part of planning a wedding is finding the venue. Now add on another layer of all the restrictions and requirements that South Asian weddings need....and you've got your work cut out for you. Does your venue have space for a baarat? Do they allow elephants on the property? (Not kidding). What about horses? Do they allow an open fire? Can you put sub-flooring down on a lawn? Do they allow outside catering? Do they have a capacity for 600 people? (Still not kidding). Indian weddings are no joke. But fear not brides, I have good news for you to help you with your venue hunting!
My wedding was recently featured on Shaadi Shop, which is a one stop shop for you to browse through some of the best venues throughout the country for South Asian Weddings. Founder of Shaadi Shop, Samta Varia, has done all the research needed to have those key questions answered to help you narrow down your venue searching and make the whole process super easy! If you're getting married in another state, you've got all the information you need at your fingertips. Want to know what other weddings at the same venue were like? Check out her blog for pictures/videos and helpful tips from other brides. And the best part? It's FREE! Samta has done all South Asian brides a maaaajor public service by starting Shaadi Shop, so be sure to check it out!! You'll be glad you did.
I wanted to share a few more pictures from our wedding with you guys! Our venue was so beautiful and so scenic, I couldn't pick just one. Enjoy!!
